Grown up pester power

The Problem

This IT consultancy’s target clients – small business proprietors – are too busy to notice ‘just another’ IT service provider. Generally, they’re even too busy to consume much media. So how to stand out and get noticed? A radical new approach was needed.

The Solution

Since it’s mostly employees who suffer faulty IT (rather than proprietors), we decided to leverage their frustrations and convert them into ‘employee pester power’ to get them to tell their boss they needed IT help. We created a cut-through animated video called “How much do you hate your IT?”. This was seeded via social channels and linked viewers though to a gamified splash site we created. Here the users played a game into which we deliberately built IT glitches! Then we provided serious data about the cost of IT related downtime for users to pass on to their boss.

The Results

A short campaign that generated strong engagement with the social ads and a number of good new leads for Centrix.

Permission applied significant creativity to our challenge: how to stand out amongst many other similar offerings. There's no doubt that nobody had done what we did!
